Charlie Vettiner Golf Course is designated as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. To reach certification, a course must demonstrate a high degree of environmental quality in a number of areas including environmental Planning, wildlife and habitat management, outreach and education and water quality management.

This is a gorgeous golf course with rolling hills, bent grass greens, and zoysia fairways. If the 50 white sand bunkers and tree-lined fairways aren’t enough to get your attention, how about the creek that meanders through several holes, with ponds on #5, #14 and #18. This has been rated as the 7th most challenging course in Kentucky. However, there are enough different tee markers to either help or challenge every level of golfer. A fully stocked Pro Shop and snack bar will help round out any day at this beautiful course. Along with spectacular golf, Charlie Vettiner Park also features a fishing lake, fitness course, hiking trails, and playground for complete family entertainment.

Confused By Your Fitness Options? These Tips Can Help!

Keeping your body fit is an important part of your overall health. There are so many different activities and programs that fall under the banner of “fitness” that it can be hard to sort out information that’s relevant for a particular person’s situation. You’re in luck because in this article you can learn about getting into shape.

Begin a garden. It can be surprising to most people how much work is actually involved in gardening. You have to weed, dig and squat in the dirt. Gardening is only one hobby you can take up to stay in shape.

Integrating a variety of activities into your routine will get you the best results for your hard work. Someone who usually uses an indoor exercise bike can bike around on the streets in their neighborhood. Different results will be achieved when the person runs on the sidewalk or up a hill. By keeping things changing in your workout, weight loss is possible and the body will not feel too used to any specific exercise.

Push-ups easily tone your triceps. Rather than performing push-ups in the normal fashion, place your hands at 45 degree angles with your fingertips facing each other. This targets the triceps. This move will tone up your triceps in no time.

Set a schedule for exercise if you don’t work out regularly or avoid it altogether. Set a few workout appointments for yourself each week, and stick with it. In the case that you are unwilling or unable to exercise during one of the days you have scheduled, simply move your routine to one of the days you have off.

Your pace when riding your bike should stay between 80 and 110 rpm. This pace allows you the ability of riding longer distances at greater speeds without fatiguing or straining your knees. You can calculate rotations per minute by counting how many times one of your legs comes up in a ten second period and multiply it by six. You should try to keep this rpm.

Make chin-ups a little easier on you. Changing how you see them will help greatly. Pull your elbows down and as you pull yourself up. This can help them appear easier and you may be able to do more of them.

There are more than just the physical benefits to a fitness routine. If you start working out you will also be happier. Exercise releases feel-good endorphins, which can improve your mood. Working out also enhances your self-image and your confidence. You are technically a few workouts shy of happiness.

When trying to pursue your fitness goals, a great tip is to pay your trainer before you start working out with him or her. That way, you are going to be likely to go to all your sessions, much more so than if you wait to pay after every workout. The reason is that you are already out of pocket for the price of the session. In order to get what you have paid for, you will have to make it out to the gym.

Calf Muscles

Do donkey calf raises to help build calf muscles. These exercises effectively build your calf muscles. You must have a buddy willing to rest on your back so that you are free to lift your calves upward.

Like we said above, if you follow these tips, you’ll be on your way to being in better shape. You can keep adding more techniques to become even more fit. Good health takes time, so by putting these tips into good use on a regular basis, you will eventually experience results.
